Heavenly Brownies

Bottom Layer
1 box chocolate cake mix
1/2 c. or 1 stick butter, melted
1 egg
1/2 c. pecans (optional)

Top Layer
1 (1pound) bag powdered sugar
8 ounces cream cheese softened
2 eggs

Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Grease 9 x 13 pan.
Mix cake mix, butter and 1 egg. Add pecans, if desired. Spread into prepared pan.
Beat together powdered sugar, cream cheese and remaining 2 eggs. Spread over bottom layer in pan. Bake 30 to 40 minutes or until golden brown. Remove from oven and cool.
Makes 12 to 15 brownies
